Ils (real name Ilian Walker) releases his third album 'Bohemia' on Distinctive, continuing his exploration of the assorted flavours of breakbeat science. 

His knack at combining melody and harmony with astute dancefloor savvy is his trademark; whether jazzy drum and bass tracks for LTJ Bukem's label in the mid '90's to production duties for James Lavelle's Mo Wax Records or creating arguably the biggest breakbeat track ever with 'Next Level'.

'Bohemia' weaves its way through the spiritual, rocky, decadent and moving; gives a nod to Eastern Europe and the characters he has met there on his travels including Bulgarian singer Plavka featured on the ethereal, free flowing "song" 'Razor'; while the effect of the war in Irag on our man has had a significant effect, with tracks such as life is 'Precious'.

Yes there are a variety of emotions here but the outstanding feature is the quality at every turn… Whether you look at rocky radio track 'Cherish' featuring indie singer Val (of Bee Stings fame) to multi-layered breakbeat feast 'Storm From The East'. He executes every track and every part of every track beautifully.
